Stories and voices from Libya: AICS launches Baladiyati‘s blog

A long-awaited blog with stories of courage and resilience from Libya was launched today by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), in coordination with UNDP and UNICEF, as partners in the implementation of the EU-funded “Recovery, Stability and Socio-Economic Development in Libya,” dubbed the Baladiyati programme (which translates to “My municipality” in English).

The blog collects inspiring stories and experiences from the protagonists of the over 100 interventions that AICS has been carrying out in 27 municipalities across Libya, with the crucial support of many organisations – Italian, Libyan and international – that are committed to supporting the most vulnerable communities in the country.

Our special thanks go to: Helpcode and Organization for Development Piooners (ODP), CESVI, CEFA, COSPE, Fondazione Albero della Vita (FADV), International Medical Corps (IMC), International Rescue Committee (IRC), Humanity and Inclusion (HI), ACTED, Premiere Urgence International (PUI), Migrace and WeWorld/GVC.

The Baladiyati programme is funded by the European Union through the EU Trust fund for Africa.
