Trust Advisor

The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation promotes the protection of the dignity of all individuals who carry out their work within the Agency or who are beneficiaries of development cooperation and humanitarian aid interventions financed by it. In accordance with current regulations, it affirms the right to an environment in which interpersonal relationships are based on the fundamental principles of inviolability, equality, freedom, and human dignity. These values are enshrined in the Agency’s Code of Ethics and Conduct and in its PSEAH Code (Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment).

Within the framework established by these two Codes, a key role is played by the Trust Advisor, an external figure to the Agency, selected from professionals with proven experience in the field of equal opportunities and conflict mediation. The Advisor is tasked with providing guidance and assistance to individuals who are subject to discriminatory behavior, harassment, or physical or psychological violence by employees and/or third parties within the workplace or in the context of cooperation and humanitarian aid activities promoted by the Agency. The Advisor acts as a mediator between the parties involved, seeking to remedy situations also through prevention and/or dispute resolution techniques.

The Trust Advisor of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation is Lawyer Nicoletta Parvis.
