Umbria is hosting a day led by young people to develop a vision for a sustainable future—an opportunity to turn ideas into concrete proposals.

The second event in the “Raccogliamo le idee!” series is taking place today in Perugia. The initiative is promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE) and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), as part of activities dedicated to Global Citizenship Education and Sustainable Development.

Organized in collaboration with the Region of Umbria and with the support of FELCOS – the Association of Local Authorities for Sustainable Development and International Cooperation, the Perugia event—hosted at the Regional Government headquarters in Palazzo Broletto—will involve the active participation of several schools. Each will be represented by groups of students engaged in innovative educational programs focused on sustainability.

Participants include:

  • “G. Marconi” Scientific, Arts and Sports High School (Foligno)
A group of selected students participating in the Eco-Digithon project, focused on eco-innovation and monitoring the school’s CO₂ footprint.
  • “L. da Vinci” Technical Institute (Foligno)
A group of students involved in the YAPS – Young and Peer School program, a peer education project.
  • IC Assisi 3
A group of students who are members of the Youth City Council of Assisi.
  • IC Foligno 1
A group of students from a school particularly active in developing tools and educational experiences in sustainability.
  • “A. Pieralli” State High School (Perugia)
A group of students participating in the YAPS – Young and Peer School peer education program.

The meeting represents an important opportunity to bring the project into local and school contexts, promoting participatory learning and encouraging active citizenship among young people. With the Perugia event, a territorial network of schools and educational communities continues to take shape, ready to gather, listen to, and enhance the ideas of new generations to build a more sustainable future.

The initiative will also contribute to the development of Italy’s Youth Voluntary Review, which will be presented for the first time in July at the United Nations High-Level Political Forum.

It is possible to participate in the initiative by completing the questionnaire and contributing ideas through the official platform: raccogliamoleidee.it.
