AICS publishes the “Disability Data Analysis 2024-2025” Report, providing an updated overview of the Agency’s efforts to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities in development cooperation and humanitarian assistance.
The Report is based on data collected through the AICS Disability Marker, the tool used by the Agency to identify and monitor the disability component in cooperation initiatives. Compared with previous editions, the analysis focuses on approved funding, providing a snapshot of the financial commitment envisaged by the Agency at the time initiatives are approved.
The data show an increase in approved funding related to disability, rising from approximately EUR 66 million in 2024 to EUR 68.7 million in 2025, while its share of total approved funding increased from 6.7% to 7.9%.
The Report confirms AICS’s commitment to promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities, both through initiatives specifically focused on disability and through the integration of disability considerations across different areas of intervention, with particular attention also to crisis and emergency contexts.
