A full implementation to the National Strategy for the Sustainable Development(SNSvS) and to the Strategy for the Global Citizenship Education: with this ambitious objective, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (MASE) have stipulated a Collaboration Agreemeent, which provides a total allocation of 982,242.00 euros, intended to finance, over the next three years, transformational promotion and awareness-raising paths for sustainable development and global citizenship and support the experimentation of collaborative methods between different institutional, research and non-state actors.

The objective of the Agreement is to contribute to achieve the provisions of CIPESS Resolution no. 22 of 20 July 2023, implementing Vector 2 of the SNSvS “Culture for sustainability”, and the provisions of the Plan of National Action – Global Citizenship Education. In detail, transformative education paths for sustainable development and global citizenship will be promoted, with the will to provide to the students of Italian universities useful tools to develop transversal and citizenship skills, also encouraging the adoption of experimental models of collaboration between central institutions, territories and universities.

Furthermore, through a detailed communication campaign, knowledge and awareness of public opinion will be promoted on issues related to the SNSvS and the ECG Strategy and the values conveyed by them, involving the actors of the SNSvS and ECG Strategy implementation system: National Forum for sustainable development, ECG national multi-actor table and local institutions.
