In the presence of representatives from over 60 Italian, Ukrainian, and international civil society organizations, the institutional launch event of the new humanitarian initiative of Italian Development Cooperation was held.
The meeting was attended by Carlo Formosa, Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine; Denys Uliutin, Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine; Mykola Kalashnyk, Governor of the Kyiv region; and Pietro Pipi, Head of the AICS Office in Kyiv, together with the Agency’s technical staff and representatives of the implementing entities of the 24 projects funded under the program.
The €45 million program consists of 24 projects which, thanks to the fieldwork of numerous Italian, Ukrainian, and international civil society organizations, will provide concrete assistance to the communities most affected by the conflict. The operational effort will enable approximately one million people to receive direct assistance, access to essential services, healthcare and psychosocial support, and reintegration for displaced persons, particularly in the areas most exposed to the effects of the war.
This shared commitment confirms the active presence of Italian Development Cooperation in supporting Ukraine’s emergency response and recovery process.
