On 15 June 2026, at the AICS office in Accra, the AICS Ouagadougou Office and Eni Ghana signed a Letter of Intent aimed at strengthening their collaboration in support of Ghana’s sustainable and inclusive development. The agreement was signed by Emanuela Forcella, Head of the AICS Office for Burkina Faso and Ghana, and Maurizio Pinna, Managing Director of Eni Ghana, during a meeting attended by Laura Ranalli, Ambassador of Italy to Ghana and Togo.

The signing forms part of an ongoing effort to strengthen dialogue between Italian Development Cooperation and the private sector, based on the recognition that sustainable development challenges require structured partnerships capable of combining and leveraging complementary expertise, resources, and approaches to generate lasting benefits for local communities.

The areas identified in the Letter of Intent highlight a strong alignment between the priorities of Italian Development Cooperation and those of Eni Ghana. Education and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), agriculture and value chains, water and sanitation services, community health, nutrition and food security, as well as economic development and diversification, have been identified as key sectors in which high-impact joint initiatives can be developed.

Among the concrete examples of future collaboration, the Head of the AICS Ouagadougou Office highlighted the Okuafo Pa Training Center, established by Eni in the Bono Region, as a potential platform for creating new training and employment opportunities for young people and supporting local development.

“Partnerships are at the heart of the 2030 Agenda, and today’s signing is a concrete example of how institutions and businesses can work together to promote inclusive development and ensure that no one is left behind,” said Emanuela Forcella on the sidelines of the event.
