March 8th certainly represents an opportunity to remember the importance of the commitment of women and men in favor of women’s rights and female emancipation, but also to reflect on how much more there is to do on a daily basis.

The headquarters of AICS Niger, Cameroon and Chad joins the “not just March 8” campaign to share the commitment on issues such as the fight against discrimination and violence against women, in any form it manifests itself, such as intervention to improve maternal and child health as well as mental health and prevent premature mortality through capacity building, to support for the right to education of girls and boys, to the commitment to female empowerment of women with disabilities in rural areas.

It is with some of the projects financed by AICS and carried out in Niger and Chad that the daily commitment is celebrated, through short testimonies of the women who work and collaborate every day with Italian and local civil society in order to achieve the objectives and be part of the common effort towards gender equality.
