Gender Policies and Practices: new edition of the “Bianca Pomeranzi Award”

Out of the twenty-eight theses submitted this year, in the award's second edition, two will be selected as winners and awarded during the ceremony with a paid internship at prominent organizations active in the field of international gender cooperation.

The Bianca Pomeranzi Award returns, open to graduates in Development Cooperation Sciences (LM81), International Relations (LM52), and the Honours Programme Talenti e Territori (TALETE) who have written a thesis focused on feminist and gender policies and practices in the political, social, cultural, environmental, or economic fields.

The event will take place on Thursday, June 19 at 6:00 PM at the AICS headquarters (Via Cantalupo in Sabina 29, Rome). Out of the twenty-eight theses submitted this year, in the award’s second edition, two will be selected as winners and awarded during the ceremony with a paid internship at prominent organizations active in the field of international gender cooperation.

Representatives from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), the CEDAW Committee (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women), and the International House of Women will attend the June 19 event, alongside the organizations that will fund and host the internships for the two winners. These organizations, listed alphabetically, are:

· AIDOS – Italian Association of Women for Development

· Alma Sabatini International Documentation Center

· European Women’s Management Development Network – Rome delegation (EWMD-Rome)

· RUT Foundation

· United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) – West and Central Africa
