“Raccogliamo le idee!”: Young People at the Heart of a Sustainable Future – Event in Rome on 23 March

The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) is strengthening its commitment to implementing the National Action Plan for Global Citizenship Education collegamnento ipertestuale, which highlights the need to “promote a change in perception and behaviour through lifelong learning, participation, and forms of active citizenship that encourage the dissemination of the values of Global Citizenship Education (GCE).”

On 23 March 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.the launch event of the initiative “Raccogliamo le idee!” will take place in Romeat the Auditorium of the Ministry of Environment and Energy SecurityThis will be the first public event in a national pathway dedicated to youth participation.

“Raccogliamo le idee!” invites children and young people aged 6 to 18, as well as older youth who wish to participate, to share their vision of sustainable futureidentifying priorities, needs, and possible solutions.

The ideas collected will not remain symbolic contributions but may inspire concrete projects, partnerships, and collaborative initiatives, enhancing the perspectives of younger generations. The event is open to the public and is particularly aimed at teachers, school leaders, educators, trainers, and local organizations interested in bringing the initiative into schools and their communities.

The work launched through “Let’s Gather Ideas!” will be presented by Italy to the United Nations as an innovative model of collaborationoffering for the first time a dedicated space for young people within the Voluntary National Review on Sustainable DevelopmentParticipation is possible both in person and onlineupon registration.
