AICS has made available the “Operational Manual for Joint Context Analysis in Crisis and Fragility Situations” and the “FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions on the Humanitarian, Development, and Peace Nexus.”
These documents, developed in implementation of the Guidelines on the Humanitarian, Development, and Peace Nexus, were created in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Their aim is to strengthen coordination among the three pillars of intervention – humanitarian, development, and peace – and to promote greater coherence and understanding of the terminology and methodologies related to the “nexus” approach.
These tools represent a concrete step towards improving the capacity of Italian Cooperation to respond effectively and inclusively to situations of fragility and crisis, with the awareness that every intervention concerns not just numbers, but people: men, women, boys, and girls whose lives have been marked by conflict and suffering.
The Manual is also available in Italian, French, Spanish, and Portuguese.
