New AICS Office Inaugurated in Kampala

Together with the recent opening of the Abidjan office in Côte d'Ivoire, this development is a result of the relaunch of Italian Cooperation in Africa, as established by the Mattei Plan. With the opening of its new office in Kampala, AICS strengthens its commitment to Uganda, a priority country for Italian Cooperation, by operating in key sectors such as healthcare, education, agriculture, and environmental conservation.

Child Protection in Senegal: The PAQ-SPE Program Begins

The initiative is part of a broader plan that includes the construction of three new reception centers, the renovation of four existing ones, and the strengthening of socio-educational services for over 15,000 at-risk children. CBD Conference of the Parties Continues at FAO Headquarters in Rome

The Italian delegation, led by representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, is actively engaged in the negotiations. The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), along with ISPRA, CNR, the National Biodiversity Future Centre (NBFC) of CNR, and the Botanical Garden of Turin, are also contributing to the discussions.

Green Line Project: In Cuba, Between Moringa and Sustainable Energy Communities

The Green Line Project, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), is a new initiative promoted by the AICS office in Havana in collaboration with the Italian NGOs ARCS and CISP. The Green Line Project is expected to benefit over 3,000 people, including workers from UBP "El Pitirre", Los Palacios, and Macurije Agroforestry Company.

Italy-Senegal Partnership: First Phase of the PAIJEF Project

Since 2020, Italian Cooperation has supported professional integration policies in Senegal, initially through the PASPED project, funded by the EU and implemented by AICS in collaboration with CDP. This project placed 2,306 young men and women in 1,064 businesses between 2020 and 2022.

Italy Contributes €3 Million to Support Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh

The Government of Italy has renewed its commitment to the one million Rohingya refugees living in Bangladesh. With a contribution of €3 million, Italy will assist UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and WFP, the United Nations World Food Programme, to sustain their critical humanitarian assistance in the refugee camps.
