Deputy Minister Cirielli addresses the annual meeting of the Directors of the Italian Development Cooperation Agency
The Italian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmondo Cirielli, took part in the Annual Meeting of the Directors of the Foreign Offices of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), as part of the “AICS Directors’ Days”.
Africa at the Center: AICS Overseas Office Directors Gather in Rome
Today marks the opening of the Annual Meeting of Directors of AICS Overseas Offices (December 19–21, 2024), held at the headquarters of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation in Rome. Just days after the “States-General of Diplomacy,” the event brings together the heads of 20 AICS offices worldwide, including 10 in Africa.

In line with the Mattei Plan, Africa is again the main beneficiary, with initiatives in Senegal, Tunisia, Burkina Faso, Guinea e Mozambico, Eritrea, Mali, Ghana, Malawi. Finally, an update on the evaluation of proposals submitted for the 2023 Call for Proposals relating to contributions to initiatives promoted by Local Authorities and Civil Society Organisations was presented, which showed a very positive response in terms of participation.
International Cooperation in Maternal-Child and Pediatric Health: Agreement Signed Between Gaslini Hospital and AICS
The agreement significantly expands the scope of cooperation between AICS and Gaslini Hospital. It introduces innovative programs such as distance learning through webinars and teleconsultation, alongside the development of context-adapted protocols.

AICS Director Attends Tuscany Region Conference on International Health Cooperation
